Terms of Service

    Zero tolerance policy: Bendy has a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Violations result in immediate content removal and account suspension.
  

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Bendy platform (website or mobile app), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Bendy.

2. User-Generated Content

Bendy is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Users are solely responsible for the content they post, including listings, photos, messages, and profile information.

By posting content on Bendy, you confirm that:

You own or have the legal right to sell the item listed
Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
You grant Bendy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform

3. Prohibited Content and Behaviour

The following are strictly prohibited on Bendy:

Counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods
Adult or sexually explicit content
Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment of any kind
Spam, misleading listings, or fraudulent activity
Weapons, drugs, or any controlled substances
Content that exploits or endangers minors
Abusive, threatening, or intimidating behaviour toward other users

Violations will result in immediate removal of content and permanent suspension of the offending account.

4. Reporting Objectionable Content

Bendy provides in-app mechanisms to report objectionable listings and block abusive users. To report content:

In the app: Tap "Report listing" on any listing detail page
By email: Contact support@bendynigeria.com

Bendy commits to reviewing all reports within 24 hours and taking appropriate action, including removing content and ejecting users who violate these terms.

5. Blocking Users

Users can block any other user directly in the app from their listing or profile page. Blocking a user will:

Remove their listings from your feed immediately
Prevent them from messaging you
Notify the Bendy team to review the reported user's activity

6. Intellectual Property

Bendy respects intellectual property rights. Listings of items bearing brand names (Nike, Zara, etc.) must be genuine secondhand items owned by the seller. Listings of counterfeit goods are prohibited and will be removed.

7. Account Termination

Bendy reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

Users may delete their own accounts at any time from the Profile section of the app.

8. Limitation of Liability

Bendy is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We do not take possession of items, process payments, or guarantee the quality of listings. All transactions are between buyers and sellers directly.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
